For us, August 15 holds a special significance...

Friends,

August by far is the month of revolution.
August is a month of festivals, fairs and fete.

But...

For us, August 15 holds a special significance for a lot more reasons.
Breaking the shackles of years of slavery, our country gained freedom.

We all experience a sense of delight for our independence. Today, if you and I can exchange our views so freely it’s only because of our freedom.
This is an occasion to salute the sacrifices of all those who won us independence.

Friends, today I wish to share with you an experience, an incidence that touched me deeply.

After independence, our enemies had created such situation that unfurling the Tricolour in Srinagar was equivalent to confronting death in Independent India.
The terrorists and separatists used to burn the Tricolour in Lal Chowk of Srinagar in broad daylight...
The Tricolour used to be trampled underfoot by them...
Each such incidence dealt a big blow to the faith and confidence of millions of Indians.During such dreadful days of 1991-92, the Bharatiya Janta Party under the leadership of the then Party President Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, decided to hoist the Tricolour at Lal Chowk of Srinagar.

The date decided for this historic event was January 26, 1992.For this `Ekta Yatra’ was undertaken, proudly carrying the Tricolour, from Kanyakumari criss-crossing the country to Kashmir.Fortunately, the BJP entrusted upon me the responsibility to ensure the success of this task. One incidence during this `Ekta Yatra’ particularly touched me...
We were traversing Tamil Nadu on a `rath’ for our `Ekta Yatra’; a poor farmer working in fields with just `lungi’ on him came rushing towards us. He tried to stop our caravan mid way and stood in the middle of the road with determination.
When our `rath’ stopped...
Our caravan came to a halt...
With gleams in his eyes, he approached us handing Rs.11 to me. He then bowed to the `rath’ and looked on as if appreciating the efforts. He then uttered something in Tamil which later our Tamil leader explained. The gist of his words fired with patriotism was I can not make it the Lal Chowk, Srinagar but on my behalf do hoist the flag there.
That day I saw glorious future of India’s freedom in the expressions of that poor farmer.

Friends, the way I felt glad and was filled with pride in hoisting the Tricolour in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk amid enemy-firing of terrorists. The same way I felt a sense of contentment to be a witness to the poor farmer’s humongous patriotism.

My best wishes to you all for the Independence Day.

Yours

Dear Gujarat na Nath,
I truely admire you. We are lucky to have such a GREAT Chief Minister. I am a student of an Engineering College studying in 1st Semester. First of all,I'm grateful to you as you have done the Admission Process On-line. But the Reservation in Education decreases the Level of Education. On the Occasion of Independence Day I hope that you will give us precious gift by removing 'Reservation'. God bless you healthy life so that you continue your "SEWA OF GUJARAT AND HINDUSTAN"

Dear Modiji
               Independece Day Greetings to you.

But one thought that bothers us on this day is the vivisection of united Bharat, the jewel on the face of Mother Earth and the Punya Bhumi of our Forefathers.

Rishi Aurobindo had predicted that the partition of Bharat is artificial and will be temporary.

Let us hope his words come true soon.

Modiji,

How long will India  need to wait to see you as the PM ??

Essential commodities like pulses are 100 Rs per Kg , vegetables and milk is a luxury ... aata dal continues to climb and clean drinking accessible water is a struggle for most ....

Indians, hope you are very proud now after electing Congress, Manmohan and Gandhis to power ... They will guarantee you another 5 yrs of price rise and misery ..
It is not that these folks are bad people , it is simply that they are incompetent for the job people have elected them to ...and for a bad situation like India you just donot need competent folks, you need people with endless positive energy , proven track record and very hardworking abilities ... Are you able to see Modi-ji, if yes you have made a good start ....

If you still see the face of youthful Rahul-ji who even after born with a silver spoon in his mouth haven't even made a mediocre leave alone putting any hard work or  effort to get  a decent education, imagine what wonders will he do to you quality of life as an Indian citizen ... time you sell the tap in your house possibly with the pipes to the kabadi wala and invest in a good deep hand-pump and a chimney.

Also it will not be long before India competes with Zimbabwe in terms of Inflation where a loaf of bread costs 10 million  Zimbabwe dollars .... Adarniya Pawar-ji as agriculture minister will make sure every agriculture produce will be out of reach for the common man in another 5 yrs ....Indian crickets will be offered 1 kg arhar dal for the man of the match and 10 kilos of pure dood (almost ...just 50% water) as man of series ....

Question for the Indian voters ... How many more times would you need to elect Congress before Arhar daal reaches 1000 Rs /kg, Loki and Tamatar sell Rs 500/- a piece, Watching (not eating) apple and mango is Rs 500/- per minute and water (non-potable)  is Rs 1000/- per bucket .... believe me .. please vote for Congress one more time ... and your wishes will come true !!

I was watching with amusement a channel whose name start with "ND" highlighting how in Rajasthan some folks have designed a new chimney which emit less toxic fumes or something like that, as there is no electricity in rural areas ...
These secular fakes who have  token rather fictive  sympathy for the Indian poor or for that matter anything which has to do with the country's interest cannot burn another 500 miles of diesel of their AC Toyotas and peek into a Gujarat village where chimney may be a rarity ....

If you really want India to progress, be honest leave your prejudices, for whatever reasons you have harboured, at home , and visit Gujarat with an open mind .. forget that it has been achieved under the leadership of a proud Hindu and a proud Indian .. just see that work and write about it ... while you are welcome to continue with your propoganda ...

India, realise importance of Modiji before the discontent created by this malfunctioning system which doesnot provide justice , equality or opportunities to common hardworking man .. just buckles ... and anarchy takes over ... Not every one can go to a developed foreign countries to escape this nightmare of a system infested with corruption and inefficiency , where corrupt and cunning are rewarded while for hardwoking people it is an endless , non-rewarding struggle ...  the pressure and discontent in this horrible system is just building up ... and it will be disastrous if an urgent corrective change of course is not taken ...

As Modiji states .. shun this vote bank politics..
We are all on the same boat ... we can only sail if we do development politics .. which comes from positive thoughts and good hardworking karma ... something which a majority of Indian people , working on small farms and private offices already do ... its time for Indian netas ,Indian babus to change ...time for the Indian media to speak in favour of the people not mere TRPs and sensation in turn spreading negative energy .... also time for the hardworking people to show sincerity when they vote as well ... not just get swayed by what the cunning media writes ... always trying to have sense of balance .. when the tarazu is not balanced ...

The difference between Gujarat governance and the rest of India is not unees bees .. it is like hero and zero ... journos please leave your sense of balance at home preferably with your kids at home so they they donot fight ... in front of camera before you open your mouth or shoot another nonsense into our ears ... think ..... you are part of India ... you will not get visas to escape India ... you better help people like Modi-ji to clean the system !! Don't sing songs in his praise but appreciate and highlight his work ...

Dear Mr. Modi
The incident narrated is really inspiring and it would have added more punch if you had given the name of the patriot and his address also. Now that you are in a position why don't you ask the party people to trace that farmer and honour him. This little gesture will encourage more and more people towards such actions.

I was child at that time and didn't know much about Kashmir. Before few years, I read about history of Srinagar. Mainly between 1987 - 1995. It was a big shock for me. I can't believe that such things can happen after independence. Our own Indian Hindu brothers were thrown our of their home and Congress was just watching. Then I understood the existence of BJP and what it stands for. I request everything to read about this black history of Independent India.

I also read that you were on fast during this rathyatra.
We are free from Britishers, but we are not free from dynastic rulers. I still don't feel that India has freedom. India is not free from poverty, illiteracy, corruption. Just read the news that 20 farmers committed suicide in Andhrapradesh. We loudly shout, "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" and don't see such a pathetic situation of our farmers. Relatives of Kargil Shahid's are still waiting for things which was promised to them.

Please vote for BJP or wait till we again become slave.

Dear Modiji
We recall those days of 'Ekatmata Yatra' which culminated in the hoisting of our National Flag in Srinagar.

We won freedom not only because of well known leaders  but also  by the hard toil and sacrifice of thousands of ordinary people who have been forgotten.

Why, even the names of some great patriots like Veer Savarkar, Subhas Chandra Bose and others are blacked out.

Mahakavi Subramanya Bharati in one of his songs says that
'we did not irrigate the fields of freedom with water but with tears'.

we cannot help but observe that the cancer of Kashmir is  Nehru's gift to us.

Can our Mother be cured of this cancer?

can you be that wonder physician?

'sardar vallabh bhai patel' no vijay thajo.

he was a congress man but congress party worker always afraid of taking his name but on the other hand always praise nehru as if he was god.

had there been no sardar how many pakistans would have born?
what would have been the map of India?
it is easy to say after 60 years ' agar aisa karte to achha hota' .
I have always seconded the thought that ' agar nehru ke badle patel hota to hi achcha hota'.

I and my family had always voted for BJP and jana sangh without a second thought.

Namaskar Modiji

It is indeed touching story about the farmer and appreciate your sharing with us. Allow me to share with you one of my compositions for our Independence Day.

Benign India

In spite of partition
Did not lose determination
Once again this star will shine
That India of yours and mine
Is incredibly benign

Bestowed with Himalayan crown
Blessed with oceanic tidal sound
The Ganges to purify hearts and minds
That India of yours and mine
Is incredibly benign

Birth place of many religions
Universe’s spiritual prism
Unity in diversity of a special design
That India of yours and mine
Is incredibly benign

Ambassador of world peace
For fulfilling founders wish
Secular non aligned regime
That India of yours and mine
Is incredibly benign

Dark clouds will eventually go
Golden rays of light will glow
Then only one slogan will rhyme
That India of yours and mine
Is incredibly benign

Sanmananiya Narendrabhai,

It was extremely touching to read the incident of your experience across our country as narrated by you in the blog.

Once while working for a small organization we collegues had undertaken to sell Vandemataram charts and moved around our colonies and to our surprise we had altogether sold near about 400+ charts to be displayed in the drawing room by people. It was only a couple of hours endeavor in August 1996. People welcomed us with open hands and paid the little cost of Rs.4/-.

In another instance I was encountered by a situation when Our nation was celebrating 50 years of independence and I was accompanying a social worker in tribal areas and was astounded by a tribal who asked the social worker who were the "Agrez" after the social worker finished his speech. Following that year on August 15 I was working in a school and saw some hutments nearby and bought some flags and some sweets for distribution among them and they in fact asked why was I doing it and I explained them that we were celebrating our Independence day.

It is extremely invigorating to do something special on the day to express our solidarity as citizens and bring awareness.

Today while in Ahmedabad, I really wonder if you could build such a class city with wide roads our youth really do not care to even obey basic traffic laws and where can pedestrians walk as most of it is occupied by either the shopsowners or by encroachers. I often wish if you could do so much for them why can't they do simple things by obeying traffic rules and keeping the city clean and safe. I really wish you dvelve on the issue sometimes in the blog.

Let us build safe roads, safe townships, safe states and safe nations and help secure our country's hard earned independance!

Nareshbhai has rightly said. The experience of the Tamil farmer is indeed very very touching. It is a general belief that the youth of today is very careless and lacks in many things. My experince of This Independence Day was quite satisfactory and as usual my marks are on the side of this generation. I would wish Your recent scheme of familiarising them with Governance, the Problems and Hurdles to Good Governance are Practical.A person with a job will not like to leave it and a person without may not be that upto mark. Dear Narendra Modi Ji,
Namaskar.
On reading the incident narrated by you I am emotionally surcharged to recall the ire our Kashmiri Hindu Community used to face on the occasion of the Independence day celebrations prior to 1990. They were the only patriotic people residing in that part of India. Their stay in the valley was an eye sore for the majority community & hence their ethnic cleansing was planned in connivance with Pakistan through terror. You have narrated Tamil farmer’s patriotic fervor; the same flame of patriotism engulfed us in the valley before our exodus. I would like to know if it is possible for your legislature to pass a resolution on the pattern of Madhya Pradesh Assembly regarding Kashmiri Pandits?

I am proud of the work you are doing for the state, people in general and the India in particular.

I am proud because I worked with you in Chandigarh while you were a Prabhari and I was Mahila Morcha Adekhsha.

I wish you all the best and hope you shall continue to serve the Nation for many many years to come.

Best wishes & kindest regards,

Namaste Modiji,

Happy independence day to all of you.
This auspicious day brings india to sukh, shanti and smruddhi. Due to millions of indians who gave their lives for freedom of india we should not let them down. We should invest our all energy to bring india out of poverty and corruption. My dear sir you are on right path, may god give you more energy to protect and prosper gujarat and india.

Central congress govt. decided that they are not going to give permission to apply gujkok in gujarat. if, maharastra can have same kind of law, then why not gujarat? this kind of question you asked lots of time so, my question is why they never allow in gujarat? what are the points they are making not to apply gujkok in gujarat. congress never have courage to fight terrorism nor naxalite movement.

Mr. M.M.singh told after winning the election that we are underestimate naxalite movement. Mr. singh listen to you during the election talking about that point. i think he realised after that they are inefficent to fight with terrorism and naxals.

Namaste Modiji, charansparsh,

happy independence day to all of you.
in this blog i read about mr. kalam and shahrukh episode in usa.

let me make some point out of it. first of all there is nobody big or small in western world everybody is equal. who is shahrukh in usa? he is visitor in usa. shahrukh khan is coming to the usa since last 15 years why this time only he object and give this kind of statement? very simple it's publicity stunt. due to his upcoming movie. due to their (usa) safety procedure indian govt. must not object, every country has right to protect their citizens.

In usa after 9/11 there is not even one terrorst attack why?
In india since independence, in kashmir alone how many hindus killed by terrorist and muslim citizens of kashmir? in last 25 to 30 years from kashmir (due to indian govt. softer policies) they transport terrorism all over india. congress who never did anything about this terror and naxalie movement, one can see that terrorist come open and did 26/11, still we choose congress as a ruling party. as a citizens of india we never fulfill our duties to vote to the right party instead of that we are staying at our home and some wrongful people organize to give their vote to wrongful candidate and due to good people (b'cause they never vote) good candidate never elected.

USA,U.K. or E.U. took highest kind of safety procedure. In usa on the airport only  current president, former president and very rare politicians are waved from security procedure. even former vice presidents, current governers,M.P., M.P.P or any other babus are not waved. they have to go through safety check ups. last month al-gore former vice president of usa has to go under security check up on the usa airport. i can give you or one can check on internet, they will find thousands of examples like this and any of the usa media nevber give any hype to al-gore or any other celebrites episode.

We, as a public, our leaders, celebrities, any big star,M.P.,M.P.P or big babus they have to understand that if you have to fight against terrorism then you have to make tougher laws, educate yourself about safety procedure, citizens or any big or small people has to stand in one line and follow rules and regulations.

if, we cannot do security tougher in india then we must not expect that other countries has to make softer polocies against terrorism. people in india are so sentimental and say why with shahrukh? i say why not with shahrukh?
he is like one of us.
celebrities and political leader, themselves have to come  forward and follow this kind of safety procedures.

we should change our mentality and should ignore this kind of cheap stunt.

Dear Modiji
why not the leaders of the BJP take a vow to concentrate on the issues concerning the people and desist from elitist pursuits like writing books, destructive parctices like mudslinging at colleagues etc?

They should resolve to attack the anti-Hindu policies of the congress, skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, kid-glove treatment to terrorists etc.

Each should be allotted a state and they should interact with grassroots workers and enthuse them and elicit their views.

They should also interact with leaders in various walks of life and influence them to support the BJP by explaining to them the party's policies and the rationale for it's existence in the backdrop of the harm that the congress has been causing to the Nation.

You should boldly take the initiative instead of just observing from the sidelines.

Dear Sir,
At the outset allow me to tell you I am a big admirer of yours and how you have transformed Ahmedabad in the last few years. I am an officer in the Indian Army and come to Ahmedabad atleast once a year on leave and find it changed, always.
Sir, I have a request to make - Could you please do something for the welfare of us soldiers? Just for example, A gallantry awardee of the armed forces from Gujarat gets a measly Rs. 3000/- as one time cash incentive for his gallant action! I am sure a cricketer gets many times more for a century!
I am confident that you will set this anomaly straight in our state atleast.

Dear Modiji,

Happy Independence Day to you as well.

But, What do you think, when we can get real independence? Right now I am at Australia but I am really worried about the future of India. Just like as I quoted to you before, on the time of Krishana, Chanakya, Vallabhai and you. why people of the India are not able to give a support to real hero ?  I don't see the future of India and the future of Hindus are very bright in India. This space is very small to write the reason of that. I am definitely sure that you also know I am right.

What do you think how we can save our country and our religion  ?

Dear Modiji
In a country like ours where the vast majority of the people are poor, but dignified and Dharmic it is the duty of  the educated and the ruling class to constantly keep thinking about the problems of their less fortunate brethren  and try to do whatever is within their means to improve therir lot.

It is a sin to waste one's enrgies and time on meaningless endeavours like writing books on worthless subjects and squabbling over them.

There was a Pandya king who ruled from Madurai.
He was so Dharmic and concerned about the welfare of the people that he used to go round the city in disguise during the nights.

Once he overheard a conversation between a husband and wife. The husband was about to leave for a distant land for commerce and they were discussing about the safety of the wife during his absence.

The wife was heard saying that when they were ruled by a king who was Dahrmic and scrupulous about the law and justice there was no need for her to worry.

From that day onwards the king used to bestow extra attention on that household with an eye on  the housewife's safety.

On a subsequent night the king, on nearing that house  heard voices from inside.

Thinking that some one had inruded into the house he tapped on the front door.

Then he realised his mistake when it was known from the conversation isnside that the husband had indeed returned.

Just to save the wife from the husband's possible suspicion and avoid causing embarrassment to her, he tapped every door before returning to the palace.

Next day the particular husband took the matter to the king's court.Similarly other people whose doors were also tapped went there to complain.

Everyone was wondering as to how such a thing happened in the kingdom known for its absolute safety and security.

The king asked the Minister as to what punishment be given to the offender as and when he was caught.

The minister replied that his hand should be cut off

Immediately the kind drew his sword and cut off his hand.

Everyone was flabbergasted.

Then the king expalined the whole thing to the assembly.

Subsequently a hand made of gold was got fixed to the stump of his severed hand.

Hence he was called 'Porkai Pandyan' or the Pandya with a golden hand .

He is immortalised in the Tamil literature for his sense of justice and concern for the welfare of his subjects.

Have the elite class of leaders ever pondered over the tears being shed in the homes of the poor due to myriad problems?

Respected sir,

I extremely respect your way of approach.
since you are a serious politician, but still india is not independent country. we have to be free from MAO VAD, NAKSAL VAD. from our birth we have seen only problems from 1947.
this is our bad luck that our neighbours are bad.

while we can see the unity among European countries.
they do not deploy much army among their borders.
i have lot more to say but this is enough.

Dear Modiji
Mahakavi Subramanya Bharati in one of his songs which is a prayer to 'Maa Shakthi' writes 'Nallador Veenai seide adai nalam kedap puzudiyil erivadundo'.

The meaning is that having made a fine Veena is it prudent to throw it into the dust?

Here he refers to someone (himself) endowed with intellect not using it properly and ending up being a burden to Mother Earth.

Seeing the squabbles in the BJP the above song comes to my mind.

Great 'artistes' like the Guruji conceived and made the 'Veena' BJP and handed it over to the  'Maestros' like Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deen Dayalji.

Now it is being thrown into the mud by some players who do not know how to play it and treat the people to scintillating music.

Let them become creative.

Dear Modiji
Prices of essential commodities have risen to unbearable levels in recent months.Especially after the congress government auumed power it has sky- rocketed.

In the open market sugar is sold at around Rs.40/. The prices of pulses have aoubled in the last 3 months.

same with other commodities

With the BJP in disarray, there is no opposition to question the anti-people policies of the congress government.

People are also talking about the congress party making a big pile through contracts, stock market and other means taking advantage of the confusion in the polity with virtually  none to challenge it.

I request you and your colleagues to think over these things, quickly put the house in order and take up the  pressing issues affecting the people.

Dear Modiji
It is said jocularly  that if crabs are exporetd from India the container in which they are kept need not be closed with a lid.

It is because if one crab tries to climb out of the container another one will pull it down so all will remain inside.

This joke is related to describe the mentality of Hindus who will not stomach the progress of  his brothers.

Why even the seemingly best minds fall victim to this syndrome?

why have we not imbibed and assimilated the teachings of our great Rishis, seers, and acharyas and put it to practical use?

Why not we realise that if our colleagues progress in life and we help him, God will help us also to advance in life?

They will not even smile at their colleague who brushed his shoulders with them for 20 or 30 years for a common cause.

But amazingly the same people ooze honey and milk when they deal with a foreigner and fall at his or her feet.

We recollect the incident when Bill Clinton paid a visit to our Parliament. It was reported that there was a virtual stampede when our MPs tried to shake hands with him!

we have read the story of Elango, the noble scion of the Chera dynasty of ancient Tamilnadu who is an epitome of the virtue of self-effacement.

Senguttuvan was the elder prince and Elango was the younger one.Once an astrolger visiting the palace predicted that after their father only the younger prince Elango will ascend the throne.

Hearing this Elango became terribly worried and sad.He did not want to upstage his elder brother and usurp power. He was so Dharmic.

Then and there he vowed that he would  prove the astrolger's prediction wrong!

So he renounced the life of a prince and became a monk. His name then became 'Elango Adigal' meaning 'Elango the revered'.

He eventually wrote 'Silappadikaram', one of the 5 major epics of Tamil which describes the story of the great Pativrata Kannagi.

We have similar examples in the cases of Bhishma and Purushotham Ram.

But what do we see now in the land of Ayodhya Ram,Bhishmacharya and Elango Adigal?

hello sir it was gr8 reading u r post.i would like to post dr abdul kalam 10 min speech here.modiji i would like to know do you read this all posts?or u r team reads it.plz answer this q in next post.if u dont answer thn v think u dnt read our rpl.so plz plz rpl.

The President of India DR. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam 's Speech in Hyderabad .

Why is the media here so negative?

Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our

achievements?

We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories

but we refuse to acknowledge them. Why?

We are the first in milk production.

We are number one in Remote sensing satellites.

We are the second largest producer of wheat.

We are the second largest producer of rice.

Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a

self-sustaining, self-driving unit. There are millions of such

achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and

failures and disasters.

I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was

the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken

place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had

the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed

his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture

that everyone woke up to.. The gory details of killings, bombardments,

deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news.

In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime.. Why

are we so NEGATIVE? Another question: Why are we, as a nation so

obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign TVs, we want foreign

shirts. We want foreign technology.

Why this obsession with everything imported.. Do we not realize that

self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this

lecture, when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked

her what her goal in life is. She replied: I want to live in a

developed India . For her, you and I will have to build this developed

India . You must proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it

is a highly developed nation.

Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance.

Got 10 minutes for your country? If yes, then read; otherwise, choice is yours.

YOU say that our government is inefficient.

YOU say that our laws are too old.

YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.

YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke. The

airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their

destination.

YOU say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits.

YOU say, say and say. What do YOU do about it?

Take a person on his way to Singapore . Give him a name - 'YOURS'.

Give him a face - 'YOURS'. YOU walk out of the airport and you are at

your International best. In Singapore you don't throw cigarette butts

on the roads or eat in the stores. YOU are as proud of their

Underground links as they are. You pay $5 (approx. Rs. 60) to drive

through Orchard Road (equivalent of Mahim Causeway or Pedder Road)

between 5 PM and 8 PM. YOU come back to the parking lot to punch your

parking ticket if you have over stayed in a restaurant or a shopping

mall irrespective of your status identity... In Singapore you don't say

anything, DO YOU? YOU wouldn't dare to eat in public during Ramadan,

in Dubai . YOU would not dare to go out without your head covered in

Jeddah.

YOU would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in

London at 10 pounds (Rs.650) a month to, 'see to it that my STD and

ISD calls are billed to someone else.'YOU would not dare to speed

beyond 55 mph (88 km/h) in Washington and then tell the traffic cop,

'Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do you know who I am?). I am so and so's

son. Take your two bucks and get lost.' YOU wouldn't chuck an empty

coconut shell anywhere other than the garbage pail on the beaches in

Australia and New Zealand .

Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo ? Why don't YOU use

examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston ??? We are

still talking of the same YOU. YOU who can respect and conform to a

foreign system in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will

throw papers and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian

ground. If you can be an involved and appreciative citizen in an alien

country, why cannot you be the same here in India ?

Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay ,

Mr. Tinaikar, had a point to make. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on

the streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he

said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the

authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect

the officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels

the pressure in his bowels?

In America every dog owner has to clean up after his pet has done the

job. Same in Japan .

Will the Indian citizen do that here?' He's right. We go to the polls

to choose a government and after that forfeit all responsibility.

We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do

everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We

expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop

chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick a

up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin. We expect the

railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to learn the

proper use of bathrooms.

We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and

toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least

opportunity.

This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service

to the public.

When it comes to burning social issues like those related to women,

dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations

and continue to do the reverse at home. Our excuse? 'It's the whole

system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my

sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the system?

What does a system consist of? Very conveniently for us it consists of

our neighbors, other households, other cities, other communities and

the government. But definitely not me and YOU. When it comes to us

actually making a positive contribution to the system we lock

ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into the

distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr. Clean to come along

& work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave

the country and run away.

Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in

their glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we

run to England . When England experiences unemployment, we take the

next flight out to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to

be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out

to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system.

Our conscience is mortgaged to money.

Dear Indians, The article is highly thought inductive, calls for a

great deal of introspection and pricks one's conscience too.... I am

echoing J. F. Kennedy's words to his fellow Americans to relate to

Indians.....

'ASK WHAT WE CAN DO FOR INDIA AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA

WHAT AMERICA AND OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY'

Lets do what India needs from us.

Sir,

Times of India dated 02/09/2009 carried news that Gujarat has slipped down to 6th position with respect to investment proposals. If it is true then I think you need to work still harder to improve the situation but in January 2009 Vibrant Summit was organized where lacks of crore  investment proposal where signed then how can this report show that Gujarat has slipped down?

I think as you stopped talking boldly, this media supported by congress has started writing untrue things in their news paper. I want you to come clear on this how this report was prepared?

Moreover it seems that you are not taking much interest in by-election in 7 state assembly seats, if you are not campaigning then chances are there for congress to win all those seats. So, request is that immediately you must start hard cored campaigning in all this 7 state assembly immediately and give sleepless night to congress and media persons especially ETV Gujarathi,Times Now, NDTV, CNN-IBN and rest other Hindi media as well those who are biased towards you and BJP.

I hope that you will start campaigning and rake up all those issue pertaining to common people in this by-election very soon.

"I Wish You All The Best" For This By-Election from bottom of my heart.

Dear Modiji
I am worried that if the news that you are not campaigning for the byelections is correct then the arrogant congress will walk away with an ill- deserved win.

You must highlight how the congress is cheating the poor people by comparing the prices during various periods and how they are rising alarmingly.

You must tell the people that the congress is helping the hoarders and black marketeers and that all the show of helping the rural people is a humbug.

They will not be able to save anything because of the escalating prices.

In the long run the rural and the poor people will lose heavily as no real development will take place
and their lives will not improve socially and economically.

The congress wishes to keep them poor by giving them low wages by assuring them menial employment.

Why not the poor and the rural people rise in life and gain higher status by getting education and earn very much more than what the congress is giving them?

You must tell them that the BJP desires to treat them not as lowly wage earners but as decent people who deserve more-education for their children, health care ,decent employment and more income and importantly higher social status for them.

You must tell them that Bharat is such a rich country with tremendous natural resources and it belongs to them and they are it's owners.

Who are the congressmen to give them such beggarly wages while they amass wealth and power for which only a few families of congressmen are entitled ?

If we take into account the  the riches and the resources of the country then they deserve hundreds of times more than the low wages they now get .

why should they allow themselves to be demeaned and cheated by the congress which has been doing it for the last 60 years?

Are they and their children destined to continue like this and survive on the wages and freebies given by the congress treating them as beggars?

You must tell the poor and the rural people that the BJP will not like to treat them as labourers permanently but improve their status and treat them with dignity.

If you talk to the people like this immmediately there will be a sea change in the people's attitude.

In fact the congressmen are looting through such schemes and in the long run the poor will remain where they are.

But you think/dream/deliver for Gujarat and India. That is really really appreciable.

Namaste Mr Narendra Modiji,
People of Gujarat, who have always stayed in Gujarat will not be able to understand what you have given them.
I am from Bihar and have been born and brought up in Assam. Currently I am working in Microsoft in Hyderabad as a software engineer. I have seen terrorism in Assam and poverty and unemployment in Bihar very closely. There is no one to listen to the woes of the common people. The police, the government department, the administration, the panchayat, everyhwere it is a living hell for those people.

There is no industry to get an employment and no government job either. The only way leaders get vote is by using bullet or money. Everyday life is like an insult to the pople who have to beg the government officers for so basic things like ration cards and gas connection.

I studied in SVNIT Surat, and saw the developement in Surat. In general you are also lucky that the people you are leading are Gujaratis, the most hard working people I have ever seen. It is such a beautiful city. You can also walk on the road and you don't see garbage in the road. I saw even girls driving scooties at 11 PM in night. believe me, even men cannot think of going out at night in Bihar and Assam. The villages of Gujarat are so beautful. People there wear clothes and don' commit suicide because of farm loans.

I always follow your interviews and speeches on youtube and like to hear about you.

Beautiful state, beautiful villages and beautiful and nice people. I only wish you were born in Bihar or Assam. People there need a leader like you more than Gujarat.

All the best in your toil to get Gujarat to become No 1 state in India
