Growth of Gujarat for the Growth of India

by Narendra Modi 24. June 2009 19:47
Print     Pdf
Will economic development of Gujarat solve the economic problems of other states? Will security of Gujarat secure whole nation from terrorist attacks? Will educating all children in Gujarat, educate all children in India? You are creating jobs in Gujarat but what about youth of other states?

Friends, of all the states of our country Gujarat is but one. The state is to be governed within the constitutional framework of the Indian Union. Gujarat’s mantra is `Growth of Gujarat for the growth of India.’ Even today, there are many Indian states from where lakhs of people come to Gujarat in search of livelihood. As per their capacities and capabilities they make a living and send money-order to their family members in their respective states. Thus, extending help financially in some way. Quite obviously, this kind of help in turn must be helping their respective states though indirectly!

Augmentation of educational facilities in Gujarat is but natural. And students from across the nation get benefitted by them. In Gujarat, the institutions like IIM, NID, etc. have 80% of students who are non-Gujarati.

Security enhancement in the state will certainly be of help to the entire nation; reason being Gujarat has an international border too. There is always some danger lurking from certain elements in neighbouring nations. Hence, a border-state like Gujarat should essentially be secured in the larger interest of the nation.

I would also like to draw attention to another point. If some good work happens in a particular state then other states may not directly get benefitted. However, the new benchmarks set in Good Governance Parameters lead to comparisons in other states; thus forcing them to make efforts to achieve similar results. For example, if a state achieves 100% literacy; a pressure is created in other states to touch the 100% levels. In our country, a competitive spirit for growth and development among states is necessary. Competition for growth amongst districts along with encouragement from Centre for development will help the country.

"I live in Hyderabad and visited Baroda last year.
I took a Taxi from Ahmedabad airport and returned next day by another taxi.
Both the taxi drivers were muslims and both were singing praises of Narendra Modi.
I did not ask them anything. They were proudly telling me about the progress Gujarat is making.
Both said he is decisive and strong.
It is time the media stopped talking about the 2002 riots and see what Modi is capable of doing for the country and give him his due.
As a national leader he will excel and will set new bench marks in governance.
He will also safeguard minorities without pandering to them for their votes."

"Just I would like to ask people who oppose Modi,

When you’re concerned about Godra tradgedy, why don’t you think of Sikh riots in 1984 which killed over 3000 innocent public, for which congress is responsible, how can you vote congress? is it not genocide?

How will you forget in many states congress engineered communal riots just to protect its power?

In Pakistani militant attacks so far more than 67,000 public were killed in last 17yrs. For god sake which country on this earth would tolerate these kind of attacks on our public?? Why don’t so called secular governments respond to this??
If you kill few americans - USA would blast the whole country? So the case with China, Russia, UK, Israel etc. Why don’t India would respond the same way? There is no value for a life in this over populated country? How long we have to suffer this pain?

Modi has the capabilities to address all these issues. India deserves as a PM someone like Narendra Modi, hope soon the dream would come true!!!"

"As per Sachar committee report, Muslims in Gujarat are most prosperous among Muslims in any part of India.
If Modi was a communal person and inflicting hardships upon muslims it would not be possible.

Its time now that Indians must see the truth “as it is” and not as portrayed by media and so called “Secular Parties” (who r responsible for 50% quota system in our colleges and govt. jobs and who in my view r actually dividing the country)

Before Modi came to power in Gujarat there was a riot on an average every alternate year in Gujarat (even when congress ruled). Since Modi has come to power there has been no riot since 2002.

        These r some facts.
Everyone is free to make their own conclusions.

In my view India needs Narendra Modi"

Dear Modiji
You are absolutely right in saying that an achievement in a field in one State serves as a reference point for other states to emulate and achieve.

For example in Gujarat all the villages are provided with uninterrupted 3 -phase power supply.

This point was widely quoted and discussed in Tamilnadu where there is chronic power shortage.

As you have observed there are thousands of people from other states who are settled in Gujarat and they are also contributing to the developnmnet of the state. Simultaneously they are also benefited.

Some of my friends in Gujarat tell me that they are happy to enjoy the great hospitality, goodwill, warmth and cordiality from the people of Gujarat.

If this happens in every state then Bharat will become united and strong.

Sir,

I totally agree with the points you made.

The growth and development of Gujarat has become a reference point across India. I was in Delhi a few weeks back. The taxi driver, who took us around, was all praise for the work happening in Gujarat. He knew about Vibrant Gujarat and its success. A similar experience was shared with me by a Top Executive of a large corporate. When his taxi-wallah in Jammu learnt that he was from Gujarat. He started talking about you and all the good work happening in Gujarat.

Sir, as you rightly said a healthy competition amongst states will help the country grow leaps and bounds.

Narendra Modi charismatic speech resembles that of Vajpayee. Congress is afraid of Modi as he will be projected as the future prime minister of India. Gujarat has developed into No.1 state in India. If modi becomes prime minister then he will make India the No.1 country in the world. Modi is clean in both Politics and in personal life. Gujarat people has elected him CM for 3rd time and this speaks about Modi's phenomenal contribution to the state.

Message for Narendra Modi Modi has proved his Guts in Gujarat and its time for Leaders like Narendra Modi to Come up and not just care of individual state but now become the forefront leaders of India and Take charge. Let the world see India has leaders who can teach the extremist / the terrorists the lessons that they need, answers to Such Act of Mass Human Slaughter. Bush went to the extent of war on Afghanistan, after 9/11, do our leaders have the guts to bring home the Dawoods and Osama bin ladens of Terror from Pakistan and teach every terrorist a lesson that this time the guiltys would be dealt with and there is no escape for them. May be to a situation if need be even at the cost of declaring war on Pakistan. *** Disclaimers *I do not belong to any political party but am an individual who is in Mumbai almost every fortnight. ** I have expressed absolutely my own opinions and want people masses at large to look at this paradigm no one has thought so far. *** It would be great if The Times of India can really appreciate Narendra Modi's other leaders of India who have shown their conviction to handle such situations of terror and give it back a double slap in the face.

Since you have taken over as CM of our state I am continuesly observing the progress of our state I personnaly congratulate you for this. One thing comes in my mind (I may be wrong) , why we are so desperate to represent for Narmada project as National Project? I fear once it is declared as national project there will be so many other states claiming for Narmada water. More over I request you to continue as CM ( I am selfish for our state) & do not take any assignment at national level though you are most capable for any assignments.

I have seen gujarat is progressing well!. But not upto the expectation :).
Currently gujarat is taking incremental position but it should take leaps.
The background of some developement till now is sufficient to take radical steps to conquer prosperity.Just look at how South Korea developed. Its national shame that we did not improve like that of japan, southkorea, singapore and even recently china.
I hope the follwing will be implemented.

Infrastructure(key facilitator for growth):

I have read that 41 ports are present. The connectivity is must. So, build  brand new 8-way roadnetwork along the coastal line and connect them with all major cities. This can be done purely with private investment and that too in next 3 years. As these are separate roads instead of extending existing roads, tolls will not pose problem for ordinary public.

Build broad gaze railway network across coastal line and connect them with major cities. This can also be done purely with private investment and that too in next 3 years.

complete metros in ahmedabad and surat with in 3years and rest all major cities with in near future.

Start producing energy through nuclear sources. Start all the bridges and dams.

Education:

Like krushi mahotsav, mahotsav is required for educating masses for 30 days in a year.(in first few years, 3 monts are required).

  Follow six pronged strategy:

1. School Teachers: train teachers about the latest developments regularly and test their skills.

2. School children (class 1st to 12th): Tone their skills by organising one month education festival connecting them with rest of the skills.
Every school should have skill center so that they can take vocational course from 8 th class for one hour per day. provide infrastructure in schools to teach vocational courses.

3. Vocational courses are required to train the massess for efficient economy. Use gramsabha to increase the awareness about importance of vocational courses in efficient economy. So use the vocational infrastrure in government school in the morning and evening for one month during the education festival to train them. Trust me, this will boost the overall confidence of the industry and employees. We need, mass scale manufacturing to become developed country.
create a repository of 5000 vocational courses. Currently china provides the same to rural villages to turn around the economy. This need not to be only in manufacturing.

NOTE: Explore the possibility of mobile vocational centers so that they can move from village to village to whoever in need of particular vocational course.

4. Create 5000(six thousand required, current strength - 441) polytechic colleges. use these colleges not only to provide training regular 2/3 year degree courses, but also to massess and employees of various companies during one month festival. The construction can be done in 1-2 years. Create part time couses as well to brush skills of existing employees. These polytechniques could train 15lack enrolled students per year.
Create repository atleast 500 courses. Currently available courses are 38. currently some courses are offered which are popular and customization is done to suit companies. THis is good but polytechniques must be proactive in training people so that new industry can start from gujarat. Better integration of polytechniques with industry is required. Start a directory of nearby industry and constantly train their employees using the polytechinques resources.

5. Start 20 new govt universities. a university should have engineering college, medical college, law college, etc..like all. An advanced research lab is necessary in each university. This can be done in next 3 years. Collaborate with foreign universities. Get Accredition by international body for all courses in universities. Start the concept of Educational special economic zones (ESEZ) for private universities. We should be prepared for selling education in near future. So start international education fairs every year. so that huge chunk of indian students going abroad will join local private and govt universities. connect the (new 20 + existing 35 + private universities ) so that they can collaborate well. Advanced Research Centers are must in each university. see, how much profits the diamond industry can earn if they use robots and laser cutting technology. For that govt, educational universities has to intiate the research and should form strong collaboration with industry. University should have a directory of all the industries present in the state. Have 3 day seminars on each industry at univeristy to discuss problems industry facing and current industry trends and opportunities lies ahead. with tight integration between industry and university, prepare students to have know-how of industry so that they can confidently take on industry well in future. Start 3-day entreprenurial summits to discuss the ideas of students and expose them to Venture capitalists. Govt should diversify industries available with the help of universities in new areas. for example, 20% of world's gold is consumed in india. But only small portion of gold is processed here in india. If government, universities, industry come together to form a taskforce on how to build machine tools for gold industry and technology associated with it, then literally all the gold can be processed and infact an eco system around gems and jewellary industry can formed in india. Currently there is good collaboration between industry and govt is present in india but they are not roping in universities.Universities should do that job of preparing the roadmap for future of industry with the help of govt, industry and provide human resources. So connect them well. Another example i can give is, coconut industry. about 32% of worlds's coconuts are produced in india but our processed coconut products are less than 0.1%. Thailand produces 3% world's coconuts, but their exports are nearly 20% of world's coconut exports. The reason, india lacks interest, discipline and more important thing coordination among industry, university, govt.
Look at south korea and japan, they have close interaction between industry, university, govt.
Our machine tools and heavy industry is almost nill except few industries like L&T. We totally lack silicon manufacturing industry thinking that fabless is good but it is totally wrong.Look at the hidden advantage that we are going to have if we have fab industry. It can generate real estate boom, employ more. since, we have strong design industry, we can independently build the total eco system. So, frequent interaction among university, government and industry is must and that too per industry wise. Also, make sure to diversify industry by foraying into new areas.

6. Start 3-day technology summit with our successful nri techies and universities to have tran national exposure to the students. This will ensure influx of ideas and technology. Universities will also heavily benifit from this by having strong ties with foreign industry and universities that they work in. This will not only propel the confidence of students but also make them quickly become entreprenuers.

Above all, link all the schools and colleges and universities with private network and a mechanism to monitor from single point is required. All the above mentioned things are possible in gujarat as we see, gujarat is committed to bring change in the system like as we see is in japan and south korea.

Health:

Prevention is better than cure. Like Lab to Land scheme, increase the awareness of good healthy practices and frequent diseases in villages with mobile information centers.
Every village should have one bed government hospital. Connect them with private broadband network with medical universities and urban highend hospitals. Increase the medical seats to 50000 in medical universities.

I dont know why media and specially congress politicians always think about gujarat riots. That was past and see the efforts involved to develop gujarat after that issue. Modi should be the PM only because he only knows one word and that is DEVELOPMENT of his STATE and his COUNTRY.         "If anyone is pointing out on riots happened in Gujarat in 2002. It is valid point. Did any of those people who commented about these riots have faced those riots? They all will say NO. I have faced them. Since 21 years before 2002 I have read everyday in local news paper (Gujarat Samachar & Sandesh) only one news that “one person got stabbed or killed in muslim area”, “Bomb found in Muslim area” etc. If you add up all the people got killed in those 21 years, the number will be way less than people got killed in 2002. I am not against muslim, I have good friends who are muslim, but please “DON’T DECIDE OR JUDGE MODI BASED ON ONE INCIDENT, JUDGE HIM BASED ON YEARS HE SERVED AND THINGS HE DID FOR STATE AND COUNTRY”

Otherwise as in today's news (Protests in Delhi , Mumbai , Punjab , other metros for electricity/water  ) , you will end up staging endless protests begging for even basic infrastructure ... Even then nothing will happen and this drama which we have been seeing for the last 60 yrs will continue forever ....

Every villager of Gujarat availing 24 hr electricity is laughing at you urban folks ... who are suffering in the dark in their so-called posh cities ...without any electricity and water supply ..

My Dear Sir,

What can I say sir , that you have truly understood the Connectedness. I want to share this small story.

There once was a farmer who grew award-winning corn. Each year he entered his corn in the state fair where it won a Gold Medal.  One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. "How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?" the reporter asked. "Why sir," said the farmer, "didn't you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn."

He is very much aware of the connectedness of life. His corn cannot improve unless his neighbor's corn also improves.

I wish all the states follow your Wisdom for Gujarat and Bharath.

Yours Respectfully,
Anand

Respected sir

Your current analysis of growth of gujarat for the growth of india, is once again an indication as to how analytical
your mind is in the  matter of governance. you have always given a new direction and a new school of thought
not hitherto projected by any political or media leaders of our country.
Failure of BJP to emerge as the largest single party in the last Lok Sabha may have disappointed many.
However, i pray to God to give u and other enlightened leaders of this country to continue to contribute to the
wellbeing of  people of india.I am quite optimistic that
your policy of genuine inclusive growth will  overtake the votebank/divisive/shortsighted policy of congress governmnet one day and the whole country will support you in your sincere efforts sooner than later.

Hello Friends,

I am regular visitor of Modiji's blog. I see few of you are visiting and commenting here.

I would like to request to the webmaster of this blog to respond to the commenter with constructive suggestions (eg Pavan). I believe the whole point is to share ideas with Gujarat Govt under Leadership of Modiji.

Despite of having some ideas, I never really posted here because I have an impression that it is a regular comment wall. Hopefully, I am wrong and if someone sends feedback to suggestions, it would be a positive contribution. Also, if you can provide a platform for contributors to get together, it would make a serious impact.

Modiji, I am your fan to the death. Keep the Spectacular work and we are with you!

Jai Hind! Jai Garvi Gujarat! Vande Mataram!

In fact we are praying from god that every state have a DEVOTED AND UNCORRUPT LEADER LIKE GUJRATHAVING NARENDRA MODI. In fact the Gujrat & Gujratis are very lucky having Narendra Modi. Many of my Gujrati friends in Mumbai, whose family is resident of Mumbai since last 150 / 200 years, are thinking to shift their business base to some place in Gujrat. My all good wishes to you. Dear Narnedraji,

I strongly belive that if india as a whole wnats to progress all the states need to work hard and grow and not individual like Gujrat or Haryana.

Unfortunatly in india parties dont come in power just because of work and thats why Chandrababu niadu lost. Here i would like to appreciate you as an example who has created history by not only developing the state but also coming in power to make sure that you continue to do so.

But in true spirit i feel if India needs to grow we have to focus on manufacturing and agriculture. We are string in services and IT software but in manufacturing China is much ahead for my work i have been to many countries like Thailand/China/Hongkong/South Africa etc and i felt we are lacking in manufacturing / Infrastructur and even Trading.

I stringly feel we can make many singapore / Hongkong kind of cities in India which will give lots of job opportunity and fund flow. kindly look into that as well along with manufacturing development.

Wish you all the best.

Vijay

Ruling side should facilitates and encourage which Modi is doing it. Gujarath is today successful due to dismantle of Burocracy and working like fast track corporate . Pls see every govt dept at Centre advises other states to follow Gujarath in implementing social and economical programes which touch the masses. Hello Sir,

I totally agree with you when you say that Gujarat is but one, but I would like to add by saying that Gujarat is not only one but its number one! It’s the only state in the country which welcomes people from other state with open arms. So in a way, it is not benefiting just a Gujarati, rather it offering immense prospects to every India residing in the state. By creating benchmark policies be in regards with terrorism, education or employment, you will indeed craft a winning mantra not just for our state, but for the nation at large. And ours being a democratic republic, the development of one state is surely going to rub on the other states. Rather than antagonising the relations with neighbouring or other states, your strategies will bring about a healthy competition which will be in nation’s interest.

Jai Jai Garvi Gujarat! Jai Jai Modiji!

It gives happiness to learn your right attitude through your comments.  You work for Guajrat at the same time your attitude is towards the development of whole country and you talk without the regionalism like people in your neighboring state do.   We, as Indians, should acknowledge that every State, every person (except the pseudo secularists contribute to the development of the country some way if not economically.   There are more people to serve in our defense forces from those poor states and they are the protectors of this Nation.   There are scientists who contribute to our nations growth and some state contribute in that way.   We are proud Gujarat contribute to the Nation economically and by employment, it is their contribution,  We should not feel bad if someone come and live in other state.  After all some of their earnings are spent  where he lives and it is a contribution to that State.  It is unfortunate that there is no CM like you in our country.  India would have been progressed to the No.1 in the world if CMs like you rule in every State.

For example,
One of my friend originally from Kerala, he did graduation in Gujarat with me and right now working in Pune, Maharashtra.
But still he used to say like, 'i really miss Gujarat and Gujju people with helping nature.'
Many other out-state friends get very much amazed with the fact regarding Safety of girls in Gujarat. Because in many states girls can not dare to go outside after 8 PM. Whereas in Gujarat, such timelimit does not exist.

Yours is very much appropriate thought in the current context. Today majority of Indian states are facing problems of terrorism, poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, poor infrastructure etc. and in this situation Gujarat has emerged as a perfect destination for living and prospering. Gujarat has become a role model state and I wish if each state learn from the growth of Gujarat in last 7 years then entire nation can become undoubtly the best country for wholistic growth of individual as well as society, like Gujarat as state is.

It is true but according to many states our states don't have better schooling platform and also some good colleges. I have done Computer Engineering from D.Y.Patil, PUNE why our state is resisting me to take admission at home place? 100's of gujarati students do engineering, medical & MBA in Maharastra, then why not Gujarat? 100's of lacs of money of gujarati moves to other state....This is major issue and we should think.

Because of yesterday's short sited vision, today we have achived a growth with a lot of pollution and other environment related problems like delay in rain, extreme heat and more.

Now onwards, we have a hope that for every project which is coming up on Gujarat land (Bharat ni Dharti), we will ensure environment and pollution realated laws are imposed & maintenained properly.

Declare Next 2 years as "Manufacturing Years".

Low End Manufacturing:
Train atleast 1 crore people in villages with mobile vocational centers. Atleast 1 Crore people should be trained in atleast 1 Vocational Course.Create a repository of 5000 Vocational Courses like in china for villagers.
Give Incentives for Low End Manufacturing centers. This presents vast employment along with curbing migration.

Middle End & High End Manufacturing:
Strengthen polytechnics. Increase the current polytechnics to 5000 and create a repository of 600 courses. Current 441 polytechnics and 38 courses are just not sufficient. They should cater to training needs with the help of part time courses for unemployed youths, employees in factories along with regular enrolled students(1/2 year). Make them more practical. Decrease the training period from 3 to 2 years. Make them less theory and high practical oriented. On an average they should train 400 to 500(including part timers). Remember, Every employee need to train himself atleast once in a year to catchup with the world. So, polytechnics can train about 20 to 25 lacks per year.
These polytechnics are going to give real boost in terms of human resources to Real Manufacturing.

Increase the engineering seats to one lakh. Train them in practical oriented courses along with theory. Currently, Fresh graduates(engineers) lacking confidence because they did not have enough practical exposure. Also, they should train to take on the world with their fresh ideas. Give incentives for them to become entrepreneurs.

Start 20 brand new universities. Start advanced research centers in each new university. This can be done with private partnership.Out of my experience in engineering, what i observed is, top students are taking up computer science , and so those studying in mechanical and civil engineering are building inferiority complex. We need to understand that for industrialization to happen, those two disciplines are extremely important. So, boost up their morale till the time manufacturing and construction takes off in india.
Start new ROBOTICS UNIVERSITY. Robotics are going to play huge role in high end manufacturing.
Start three more Energy universities like that of PDPU,Gandhinagar. Advanced research in Nuclear Energy and Solar Energy is must.

Finally, change the labor laws to suit easy hiring and firing. With cheap & productive human resources(available once this grand plan executed),administrative efficiency(gujarat has this),suitable labor laws(need to change a bit),Infrastructure(existing is satisfactory but require massive remake like 8-line expressways between ports and major cities, railway network, massive addition of power etc..) Gujarat can become Manufacturing hub of World.
Once gujarat takes manufacturing seriously, all other states will follow.

We are far behind China in Low End Manufacturing and South Korea,Japan in High End Manufacturing. But now,we got opportunity to catchup with china in low end.Use this opportunity. If we press for High End Manufacturing, with robust human resources and entrepreneurial skills, we can match in next 7-10 years.

Modi ji thinks only about Gujarat because people of Gujarat has chosen him to rule Gujarat. People of Gujarat are wise enough to choose a Leader with VISION.

But people of India have chosen sick Congress to rule India. so What MODIJI can do about it.

Because people deserve what they are...Probably India deserves Congress and people in Gujarat deserves MODIJI.

FYI I am not from Gujarat but admire MODIJI and his VISION.

Dear Honorable Chief Minister Modiji,
Gujarat is in good hands for last decade. For a long time, Gujarat was in need for a head of your caliber & charisma who is Gujarati in every way and also can present Gujarat in the international arena. Gujarat should aspire to be like no other state in the Indian Union. Gujarat should have its own brand name in business, efficiency in government services, infrastructures development, and resort development for visitors like me who are settled overseas. I want to feel proud about my Gujarat. When I hear your words, my Gujarat in your speeches, it makes me immensely proud of being a Gujarati. I know you represent Gujarat very well. We are with you all the way in good time or bad time, but never bow to so called pseudo secularists and vote bank politicians at center.

Dear Shri Narendra Modiji

My roots are in Karnataka, but Gujarat is my ‘Karma Bhoomi’ – the best governed state.

While you have done a lot for the Narmada waters to be shared by one and all, we need to remember that even today India’s economy depends on agriculture and good rainfall.

Pessimists have declared that this year the prospects of a good monsoon look bleak.

Gujarat has a good coastline. One way to preempt droughts and food shortages is desalination of sea water and supply for agricultural purposes.

We need to invest on desalination techniques so that we are never, never short of water and agriculture and our economy can thrive.

We can do this – but we need a good strong leader like you to take the lead and initiative.

Please look into this and the future generations will always remember you.

SADAR CHARAN SPARSH,

I don't know how to address you, "Narendrabhai", "Narendrauncle", "Sir", or anyting else. So I left the space blank. I am a 29 yr old housewife completing 30 on 2nd July. I came to know that you are on website, so this is the easiest way for me to talk to you. Well I know you are not that much free to read each and every email. But I just want you to know that I appriciate your every step towards prosperiy and growth of Gujarat, India. I know that if you want to clean an area. You must start from your own home. And this is what you are doing. I am proud of you for this.

Well I read some of the comments written by people to your blog. Many of them said what every Gujarati, Indian want to. So I don't want to repeat it. In one comment a peson wrote he blindly support you. Sorry sir I can't. It is not that because I don't trust you, ofcourse I do. But you are our leader. And a leader has many followers. But I want to walk with you. So if your steps are going somewhere wrong I can pull you back to right path. I know I am too young to tell you this. I hope my comment doesn't upset you. I wrot what I fee. Didn't mean to hurt you. Stil if you got hurt eat 2 rotis more. And ofcourse I want you to know many things, but it is for next time. Fot now,

Take care.

Dear Mr. N. Modi,

I am Gujarati and I love and like the way you handle Gujarat. I have faith and Trust in you.

I suggest you to allocate more funds for education and please see that Gujarati become IAS and IPS. At present it is filled by Bihar and South India. We i.e. Gujarati are very week as far as education is concerned. You can see this by referring the statement given under your picture at this website. "Augmentation of educational facilities in Gujarat is but natural. And students from across the nation get benefitted by them. In Gujarat, the institutions like IIM, NID, etc. have 80% of students who are non-Gujarati."

At present I am in Saudi Arabia. My contact Number - 00 966  533 09  30  32

When I comeback ti India in November , I would like to see you on the subject matter if your good office wish to.

Manyavar shree,

Narendrabhai,

Namaskar,

I am some what defeat from your point of Gujarat growth is the India growth.
Growth of state at Gujarati's cost ???
As present senerio Gujarati are side corners in Jobs & business  in industries at their own state because of persons who came from out side state aquired most of the position with the help of nongujarati lobby remains in industries as well as top officials of govt. of Gujarat. The Govt. rules of 80% gujaraties in staff cader and atleast 50% Gujarati's almost violated in most of the industries.Govt. is not able to force this rules for the welfare of Gujarati's people. Most of industries applied contract system, contractor takes people from outside and local people without job only they have to sell their land and become silent viewer of other development who came outside from Gujarat with empty pocket.
Most of the Industries have their registered office outside Gujarat and Paid taxes on the basis of registered office outside of our state.
The Govt. of Gujarat created industrial friendly state create violation of many created laws like labor laws , contract laws,pf laws, industrial dispute laws suffers only  people from Gujarat.
I am leaving in Surat and even communication language sideline as Gujarati.Only Hindi and English established as communication link. Most of crime committed the way of UP Bihari style. The Gujarati feeling to except everybody lead to "Sadgun Vikruti" and Gujarati have to migrate outside India for betterment of life. And you can describe as the growth of Gujarat.
Please emphasis on the long term benefit for Gujarat while do nay betterment of Gujarat.

Sir I have a sincere request which needs your attention. In one of the zoo in Ahmedabad there is a elephant who has no mahout to take care about . Being an elephant lover I have informed the same to Sahu Sir who is superintendent of the zoo, but no action is taken yet. So I request you to let the elephant for auction so that I can buy the same. And then I will take it to Kerala where elephants are treated like God.

Dear Narendraji,
I had heard 2 years back your speech given at JITO meeting. When you talked about the self discipline amongst citizens and help goverment in reducing costs.
I lived in Gujrat in 1977 to 1981 at Baroda and receive constant updates from my friends and relatives about the progress and development taken place in Gujarat. I am really surprised to know that there is no power cut in Gujarat unlike else where in the country.
What ever is happening is certainly benefiting all sections of society, a point which every Indian should notice.
Unfortunately politicians have divided and continue to divide people by talking about secularsim or non secularsim instead of claiming or talking of progress made to benefit society and people as a whole.
When prices increases it hurts all and when comes down benefits all. Finally duty of every goverment is to serve true interest of people and common man sees it by just few yardsticks of control of essential commodities prices.
Example of Gujarat should be a lesson for other states. Wish they study Gujarat pattern of development keeping
aside political biases.

I have stayed in Gujarat, at Baroda in 1977 to 1981 and am thus in touch with my friends and relatives who continue to tell him how Gujarat changed a lot. I am really surprised to know that there is no power cut in Gujarat, when else where in the country electricity  is the main problem affecting Industrial growth and their nornmal lives.
Each state managing needs greater amount of managerial skills and not just political agenda.
Industrial growth in Gujarat has helped not only gujarat but also a India lot.
Moreover, state growth improved employment opportunities for all.
Let people learn to read and analyse true performance of their state goverments, compare it with Gujarat & not just get carried away by ads or slogans.
Performance of Govt affects or benefits all societies of people.

But the day you become cheaf minister of Gujarat I feel that i am watching 2nd Sardar Patel. Looking at your brave pesonality I fell Sardar is still there. I want to see you as a Priminister of India, Hope You will make India Second Gujarat. I Wish you all the best

Dear Modi ji,

I am an ardent fan of yours, for all you have done to promote Gujarat as the leader in all spheres of development. Though I had known about you previously, I was given a thorough insight about you by Mr.Cho Ramaswamy, via his articles and write ups in his weekly Tamil magazine, Tughlak.

Though I stay in Tamilnadu, I am proud that Gujarat has such a bold, straight forward person with a futuristic vision, who genuinely dreams about the welfare of the people governed by him.

I long for the day when you would become the Prime Minister of India. I am sure that during your governance, India will be looked upon as a superpower and all Indians around the world will command greater respect.

I pray to God that you should be blessed with a long and healthy life.

I am thankful to you for the growth and development that you are bringing in the Gujarat state. I feel very proud to be born & brought up in Gujarat, when my relatives & friends from other state discuss that Gujarat is very peaceful and yet constantly developing state in India I just can't express  my gladness of such moments.

I wish you all the very best to keep up your work the way you are doing. Jay Hind, Jay Jay Garvi Gujarat!

Dear Modiji,

I am one of your ardent fans. I strongly believe India needs people like you to lead so that we are put in the fast lane of becoming a devloped nation than being a developing nation for decades to come and eventually get classified as underdeveloped nation.

I really admire the vision you have and the colective governance model you have propagated. It also needs the leader to be autocratic at times to get things done the way he wants irrespective that it ends up ruffling few feathers which you have done.

One thing that really surprises me is the fact that no one comes out and speaks of population control in India. We have this as the mother of all problems and no one dares to speak of it forget of some remedial measures. China has long back implemented one child norm and the benefits of that will start accruing to them in next decade as this measures takes time to show result. Unfortunately in India we still dont have policy to punish people with more then 2 children forget of one child norm. We have a ever growing populaltion and depleting resources which paints a very drastic situation in times to come. When I say punish people I dont mean putting them behind bar rather such people and even the children should be barred from all govt subsidies, reservations and benefits and made to fight it out. I belive that will act as a big deterent for all.

Hope someone starts these measures somewhere to show the way as currently we are acting like an ostrich which is ultimately going to hurt us big way in times to come.

Dear sir,
You as a leader is on a perfect path, but THREE things in Gujarat are the need of the hour.
1.WHY NOT BAN ON GUTKA IN GUJARAT???

2.INDISCIPLINE IN TRAFFIC IS CREATING MORE ACCIDENTS IN GUJARAT.THIS SHOULD BE RECTIFY ON A PRIORITY BASIS LIKE IN OTHER COUNTRIES.

3.TALKING ON MOBILE SHOULD BE BANNED WHILE DRIVING AND A HUGE AMOUNT OF FINE ON THE SPOT IS NECESSARY TO DECREASE ACCIDENTS.

There are lot of gujarati(including me) who are working in maharstra, pune, banglore etc in IT and they are eagerly waiting for something to happen in Gandhinagar so they can move back to their home town. We are hearing since long time that IT companies are coming to gujarat. Hope this will happen soon with your extensive support and deep knowlege.

The media does not discuss fundamental issues, it is busy discussing trivial things which are highly exceptional. They blow up those issues to such an extent as to make the people to feel that the same is the most crucial problem of the country, which need to be resolved with immediate effect.

Namaskar,Modiji & Dear Readers,

We are really proudful with progress of Gujarat, under the leadership of Modiji.
But I strongly believe,if we expect something good, then we have to devote & start good, responsible behaviour from ourselves. We are expecting from Govt. to ban Gutka, traffic management & so on..., but we've to develop CIVIC SENSE & DISCIPLINE ourselves, can't be imposed by govt. Start with yourselves.then you will really enjoy the fruits........
Stop to break the traffic rules, you need not to pay to traffic police as a penalty or as a bribe,as simple as that.Don't allow anybody to spit on road in your presense.

And one more thing praise the work, not the person.

Sir,

I dont know, if you have seen the film "Nayak" of Anil Kapoor film.. i
believe, This film was taken, before you became popular in politics.

But i would say, you have been a practical example of the hero of that film=
..

In short, the film is about a simple journalist, who by occasion, gets
a chance to become a CM for one day. And in that one day, he does
unimaginable things, brings out all corruptions, arrests tainted
ministers, and atlast, at the last minute of the last hour, arrests
the previous CM too because he want RAM RAJYA in his state just like
you.

I wish, some one takes the development of gujarat as an excellent film...

I want to inform you that please see that film and inform me for your
view about this film in my personal mail ID

I agree with you, and i like what you have done. I am not a Hindu Indian, but I love my country and I would die for it. I think we both share the same love and respect for India and it's culture and we both want to see it bloom.

I'm from Kerala, and i hope you can help beat the Communists that rule over there.

Dear Sir,
Firstly I like to say that for great proud for being of Gujarati.
YOur concept for development of Industries are great through functions of Vibrant Gujarat etc... every year.
But I also like to say if such high development will do in each district then people of every corner of Gujarat can take chance and encourage for education...because in gujarat in some areas Industrial graowth is too weak compare to others like as distict of Saurashtra such as Bhavnagar,Amreli,Junagarh,Porbandar,Surendranagar where industrial development is too low, also for South Gujarat Tapi, excapt of Some MNC of Hazira district of Surat,Navsari etc.

So If any possibility for development of Industries in such  areas then well & good for people of those areas which gets jobs, encourages children for education.

Modi is the way to go. I am impressed with the GIFT project, which to me is the new face of emerging India. He has the ability to duplicate the success he has had with Gujarat, one of the key states responsible for keeping India on the world map, at national level. I read a comment somewhere that Modi has done things for Gujarat and not the whole India but these people probably don’t realize that it’s because of states like Gujarat that India is doing well. Gujarat is one of the key locomotives that’s pulling the national economy. On top of the results that he has shown and his administration qualities, his non-corrupt image helps.

"India is the only country where Minorities are given special preference and treatment whereas if you look at other countries it will be opposite. If you take Pakistan and other Arab countries they openly declared themselves as islamic nation and it will be impossible for a hindu to live their religious life fully in those countries. If you take Srilanka the majority (buddhists) are doing mass killing over tamils who was considered to be Hindus. If we consider US and Western countries eventhough not openly declared those government seems to be linked with christainity. Even in some local parts of India where there is a majority of Muslims or Christians you can notice the hindus living there are deprived.

When someone like Modi treats all citizens with equal preference then others call him non-secular. This nonsense attitude should change. If Modi becomes PM, India will create History."

Narendra Modi will be CM of Gujarat. What way he is going to cause a fall or rise of the UPA Government? The story of Gujarat is different. It may not be the same with the rest of the country. He in the arm because of Modis win.

Dear Sir,

I am a good fan of you. Really gujarat is growing like anything.

Sir, I am from Limbdi which is 100 km far from Ahmedabad. In Limbdi, BJP is ruling since two decades. Gujarat is vibrant but there is no vibrancy in Limbdi. Before BJP, Limbdi was very goos city and every one was employed and had a job in city itself. Now one Govt mill is not working since 10 years and there is no sincerely action taken by MLA. Corruption is there in every area. There is no infrastructure since 15 years in Limbdi. There is no scope of new employment. No new initiative has been taken from government. I am not saying that you are not doing anything but question is that the person who is ruling, he should say to you then and then only you will be known that where are the problems?
Sir, if you want any succession from my side that where development is needed then I am always ready. Because I want that if gujarat is growing then my region also should be grown with the same rate. Limbdi has great potential but anyone needs to initiate.

I hope that you rule on the gujarat for longer time.

Thanks.

Jay Jay Garvi Gujarat.

Dear Honerable Minister Narendra Modi,

I do agree that modi sir has done really good job by attracting investment in Gujarat. I do believe unemployment rate is probably record low in gujarat today.
However, there are some increasing concern about overall life of people. We are not different from any other state in terms of health of common people. Every year more number of people becomes victom of Maleria than they use to be before. Gujarat is developing economically but not doing much to improve cleanly ness.

I am sure we can improve even in this domain this in your guidance. Make is a state where even people from develop nation says "vah modiji".

Regards,
